Wings of the North

2025 AirFair

When approached with the idea of creating a logo for a new event, The Wings of the North’s AirFair, I knew I had to make it the shape of a military patch. They also wanted their normal logo incorporated into this patch. I then decided, since it is for an air show, you have to include an airplane. The airplane I included in this logo is one that is very special for their organization. This plane is a Stearman N2S-1, which was a primary trainer that was flown by former President George H. W. Bush during his flight training at the Minneapolis Naval Air Station during WW2. I also decided to add the name of the airport on the bottom of the patch as that is where Wings of the North calls their home.

Great River Greening

30th Anniversary

When approached about creating a logo for Great River Greening’s 30th anniversary, I had an idea of how I wanted to start. I wanted to make sure that there was something clearly labeled 30. After looking though different logos, I ended up with these two. Two completely different logos, but unified through the colors and fonts.

Hamilton Wayzgoose

2024

When designing this logo for a conference of type nerds, lovers of letterpress, and friends of the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum, I had to come up with an idea that everyone would love. Using different materials to base this name tag off of ink the brayer, wood type, and ink, was the concept that stuck with the logo for the year.
